Paid private video calls for creators
A paid video call on MeetVelour is a private 1-to-1 session a client books and pays for before it happens. You set a price per minute and a duration; the total is calculated automatically. The call runs in the browser, so neither side installs anything or shares a phone number.
Key facts
- Price is set per minute, from a $5/minute minimum; total = rate × duration.
- Payment is taken before the call, not after.
- Calls run on Daily.co in the browser — no app, no phone number.
- The call link is private and only valid around the booked slot.
- You keep 80% of the call price.
How a paid call works, step by step
- You set your per-minute rate and call length in the dashboard.
- You share your creator link (or your username link) with a client.
- The client picks the call, pays in crypto or via the hosted card checkout, and receives a private call link.
- The payment is confirmed automatically; the earning is credited to your balance at 80%.
- You both open the link at the agreed time and the call runs in the browser.
Why payment comes first
Unpaid calls are cheap to book and cheap to skip. When there is no cost to no-show, a meaningful share of bookings simply do not happen, and you lose the slot as well as the income.
Charging up front changes who books. Anyone who is genuinely interested pays without much argument; anyone who was never going to pay disappears before they take up your time. The filtering happens before the conversation, not during it.
Choosing a price and duration
Short verification-style calls tend to sit at the lower end — a few minutes, priced to be an easy yes for a serious client but an obvious no for a time-waster. Longer conversational or consultation calls are priced by the value of your time rather than by the minute count.
You can change your rate and duration at any time. Existing paid bookings keep the terms they were sold under.
Privacy during the call
The call happens on a private room link tied to that specific purchase. You do not exchange numbers, and the client never sees an email address or account of yours. If you end the call, it ends — there is no persistent channel back to you unless you create one.
Common questions
Does the client need an account to book a call?
No. Clients book and pay without registering. Only creators have accounts.
What happens if the client does not show up?
You have already been paid for the slot. That is the main practical reason payment is collected before the call.
What is the minimum call price?
The minimum is $5 per minute, so a 1-minute call can be sold for $5.
