How to set up and charge for verification video calls
This is the operational guide, not the argument for charging. If you have decided that verification calls should be paid, here is how to price them, describe them, and run them so that the whole exchange takes ten minutes end to end.
Key facts
- Calls are priced per minute, from a $5 per-minute minimum; total = rate x duration.
- Three to five minutes is enough for verification.
- Clients need no account — they open a link, pay, and join in a browser.
- Call links are private and time-scoped; nothing persists after the call.
1. Choose a length and rate
Pick the shortest duration that does the job. A three to five minute call establishes presence, tone and basic plausibility. Set your per-minute rate deliberately: the total should read as a small, obvious yes to a real client.
2. Write the terms once
Add a short block to your profile or saved replies: what the call is, how long it lasts, what it costs, and whether it is credited against a booking. Two sentences. Ambiguity is what creates negotiation.
3. Send the same link every time
Your MeetVelour link handles the payment, the scheduling and the room. You do not need to arrange anything per client, exchange numbers, or add anyone to a contacts list — the link does the whole transaction.
4. Run the call in a controlled way
- Plain background, no identifying detail in frame.
- Keep it short and businesslike — this is a check, not a session.
- Confirm what they are asking for and restate your terms out loud.
- End on time; overrunning teaches clients that your limits are flexible.
5. Follow up in writing
Send a short message afterwards confirming what was agreed: date, duration, price, and next step. A verified client plus a written summary is about as solid as a pre-booking position gets.
Common questions
Do clients need to sign up?
No. Buyers pay and join without creating an account. Only creators register.
What if the client does not show up?
You were paid for the booked time, which is the point of the model.
Can I waive the fee for regulars?
Yes — just apply it consistently. A rule with a documented exception is still a rule; an inconsistently applied rule is not.
